As Carter approached adulthood, I wanted to create work around the person rather than expect the person to fit a traditional job. Carter & Crew began with a simple idea: meaningful participation can be designed around individual abilities, interests, communication, pacing, and support.
Carter participates in producing joyful buttons, magnets, keychains, and other small-batch products with support. The goal is not simply speed or volume. It is real contribution, skill-building, choice, pride, and the opportunity to be part of something that matters.
Contribution does not have to look conventional to be meaningful.
